De masterclass zal ondermeer handelen over de relaties fictie/realiteit en documentaire/fictie. Dit onderwerp ligt de filmopleiding van de KASK nauw aan het hart. Deze is immers gebouwd op het principe dat een filmstudent in staat moet zijn om zowel documentairefilms als fictiefilms te maken. De grenzen tussen beide 'disciplines' vervagen immers steeds meer. Andere mogelijk onderwerpen zijn: methode, evolutie van idee naar script, etc. Deze masterclass is bedoeld voor de filmstudenten aan de KASK maar staat ook open voor een 20-tal niet-studenten.

The masterclass will examine the relationships between fiction and reality and between documentary film and fiction film. This subject matter is of great importance to the film class of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. In fact, it’s built on the principle that a film student has to be capable of making documentaries as well as fiction films since the borders between both disciplines tend to fade ever more. Other possible subjects will be: method, development of an idea into a script, etc. This masterclass will be primarily attended by filmstudent of the academy but is open to about 20 non-students.
