In deze unieke vertelling over geloof en gebed laat Seidl ons gedurende 87 minuten God zijn. Zes katholieken richten zich tijdens hun gebed tot de camera alsof ze zich tot God zouden richten. De vrome kerkgangers; een student, een gepensioneerde chemie lerares, etc. onthullen hun zorgen en beslommeringen, hun zonden en verlangens. Ze stellen vragen en verwachten een antwoord. Ze vragen om vergiffenis. Seidl legt ze vast in grote stille kerken, zij alleen met hun God. Een collectieve pathos komt tot uitdrukking doorheen de statische beelden. Hoe meer we als toeschouwer een inzicht krijgen in de zieleroerselen van deze mensen, hoe meer één vraag zich opdringt: Luistert er wel iemand? (hk)

The pious churchgoers, a student, a retired teacher of chemistry, etc. reveal their worries and cares, their sins and desires. They pose questions and expect an answer. They ask for forgiveness. Seidl shoots each person alone inside soaring cathedrals, bereft of fellow parishioners and clergy. Only them and their God. A collective pathos reveals itself through the static shots. The more we get an insight into these people innermost feelings, the more one question surfaces: Is there anyone listening?
